MEETING WITH DIRECTOR GENERAL, DEPT. OF H&PW
AND POLICY ADVISER TO MINISTER – 20 MAY 2015
New Government, new Minister, resumption of discussions following deferral of 29th August 2014 meeting.
This May 2015 meeting ended up covering different subjects, namely residents’ concerns, and funding for the ARQRV.
At very short notice, ARQRV members with email addresses were invited to contribute their experiences: from these responses, a chart was compiled and also a lengthy document, both for discussion at this meeting. Thank you to all members who responded.
AREAS OF CONCERN
This document was tabled at the 20th May meeting and cites as four major areas of concern: the imbalanced weighting of input by residents’ and operator representatives in the Review of the RV Act, the unreasonable increase in QCAT fees, the need for government funding for the Association and concern for the future of the Industry as children of residents become disenchanted with it.
ARQRV Members were asked to submit their “Areas Of Concern”. The first attachment is a Chart compiled from members responses.
This 41-page Document includes the Members’ Responses, from which the Chart was compiled.
